Payap’s 40th Anniversary celebrations begin this Friday, February 7, 8:00-5:00 with our Research Symposium 2014, which will be held in the Sirindhorn Learning Resource Center. Payap staff and students may attend free.
Saturday, February 8 at 7:30 pm, the College of Music will present Beethoven’s 9th Symphony (the Chiang Mai Symphony and Payap Chorus are combined for this event) in the Leviticus Hall of the Judges Building (law faculty on east side of Mae Khao campus). Admission is free.
Sunday, February 9 at 5 am that Payap Annual Mini-Marathon will be held with the start and finish line in front of Sirindhorn Learning Resource Center. Come and run (or walk) or just come and watch.
Monday, February 10, there will be a “Road Show” of decorated vehicles that will drive around Chiang Mai to advertize our anniversary. The vehicles will leave from in front of the President’s office during the morning (between 9-10 am). The prize for the “best” decoration will be awarded on Tuesday, February 9 at the end of the worship service.
Tuesday February 11, there will be an Anniversary Worship Celebration in Luce Chapel from 4-6 pm. Awards for outstanding teachers, staff, alumni, and researcher will be given.
Following worship winners of the photography contest awards will be announced and a display of their photos formally opened at the Sirindhorn Learning Resource Center.
From 7-9 pm there will be a multimedia show celebrating Payap’s past, present, and future with free food for all in the International Peace Park behind the Sirindhorn Learning Resource Center.
